The latest data from the state shows there's been a slight increase in the spread of COVID-19 around the Capital Region.
Right now, the seven-day average infection rate is sitting at 9.42%. At this time last week, the infection rate was 9.04%. To prevent a spike in cases, people are being urged to get vaccinated against the illness, receive a booster shot if they're eligible and to wear a mask while indoors.
