The trial of a Schenectady County man who is accused of killing his foster son is set to resume Thursday.
Prosecutors say that 28-year-old Dequan Greene severely beat four-year-old Charlie Garay and also attacked the boy's older brother at a home on Broadway in Rotterdam back in December 2020. Greene told police the boy had fallen out of his high chair and choked. But an autopsy revealed that he died due of internal injuries caused by blunt force trauma.
