Workers at an Amazon distribution center in Rensselaer County have overwhelmingly voted against becoming members of a union.

On Tuesday, the National Labor Relations Board tallied the results of the recent vote at the Schodack facility, and they showed 206 employees were in favor of unionization compared to 406 who were against it. One person who helped organize the unionization effort believes the movement likely contributed to a recent pay raise for workers. In a statement, Amazon said it's glad employees were able to have their voices heard and that they decided to keep their direct relationship with the company in place.
