The Bethlehem Police Department has issued a warning to residents about an ongoing text message scam.
Officials say people have reported getting a message from a number outside the 518 area code containing a link with information on how to get $10.00 off a police department hoodie. The department says it's not affiliated with businesses that sell items like this and that opening the link could put information on your device at risk. Anyone who gets a message like this should delete it immediately.
