Election Day has finally arrived, and that means Empire State voters are going to decide who leads New York for the next four years.
Democrat and incumbent Governor Kathy Hochul, who took over for ex-Governor Andrew Cuomo last year, is trying to win a full four-year term in office. But to do that, she'll have to defeat Republican and Long Island Congressman Lee Zeldin. Early polls showed Hochul with a clear lead in the contest but Zeldin has closed the gap lately. Other statewide contests being held Tuesday are the race for Attorney General, State Comptroller, and the United States Senate seat held by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.
