Members of the New York State Thruway Authority have taken the first step towards increasing tolls for drivers who travel on the highway.
Om Monday, the authority's Board of Directors approved a proposal that'd increase tolls for E-ZPass customers by 5% in 2024 and an additional 5% n 2027. People who choose to pay their tolls by mail would also be handing over more of their hard-earned money. A final decision on any increases likely won't be made for several months.
