Governor Hochul's nominee to be the next Chief Judge of the State Court of Appeals is going to be having a hearing in Albany Wednesday.
Hector LaSalle will be appearing in front of members of the Senate Judiciary Committee for his confirmation hearing. LaSalle's nomination has drawn criticism from lawmakers, advocates, and labor leaders who have concerns about his judicial record. The governor says regardless of how Wednesday's hearing goes, LaSalle's nomination should be voted on by the full Senate.
