There is a new development in the ongoing legal case involving NXIVM founder Keith Raniere.
The Times Union is reporting that Raniere's lawyer is going to be in a New York City courtroom Tuesday afternoon on behalf of his client. The attorney will ask an appeals court to disqualify the judge who oversaw Raniere's trial from hearing his bid to get a new trial because he claims the judge holds a bias against Raniere. The 62-year-old Raniere is currently serving a sentence of 120 years in prison.
