Albany Man Arrested in Stabbing Incident

An arrest has been made in connection with a stabbing that occurred at the Capital Green Apartments in Albany earlier this week. On Wednesday (January 15), police responded to a call at the apartments on Central Avenue, where they found a 28-year-old man with a stab wound to the chest. The victim was treated by emergency responders at the scene before being transported to Albany Medical Center, where he remains in critical but stable condition.

The suspect, 30-year-old Ra-lon Wilson, was apprehended shortly after the incident near Ontario and Benson Streets. According to police, the stabbing occurred during a domestic dispute in the presence of several people, including two children. Wilson has been charged with second-degree attempted murder, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. He was arraigned on Thursday morning and is currently being held in the Albany County Jail.

CBS6 Albany reported that the incident took place around 5:50 p.m. on Wednesday. News10 noted that Wilson was taken into custody shortly after the stabbing. WNYT confirmed that Wilson faces multiple charges related to the incident.
