Rotterdam police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred late Wednesday night (January 15) at the Country Farms store on Guilderland Avenue. This marks the second robbery at the same location within a week. According to authorities, a man entered the store around 11:50 p.m., displayed a black handgun, and demanded money from the employees before fleeing on foot north on Vischer Avenue.
Police believe the suspect is the same individual who robbed the store on January 9. The Schenectady Police and Schenectady County Sheriff's Office K-9 unit assisted in the search for the suspect, but he remains at large.
Rotterdam police have released a picture of the suspect and are urging anyone with information to contact them at (518) 355-7397 ext. 7123.
The community is on alert as the investigation continues, and authorities are working diligently to apprehend the suspect.
