Glenville Dog Control is reaching out to the community for help in keeping local dogs warm during the winter months. The agency is in need of blanket donations to provide comfort and warmth to the animals under its care. Residents interested in contributing can drop off blankets at the Glenville Police Department station on Glenridge Road. Donations are accepted between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Upon arrival, donors should ask for the dog control officer to hand over the blankets.
The call for donations was made through a Facebook post, urging the Scotia/Glenville community to support local dogs in need. The blankets will help ensure the dogs remain cozy and comfortable as temperatures drop.
For more information, individuals can contact the Glenville Police Department or visit the town's official website. The department also partners with the Montgomery County SPCA for stray dog housing, providing additional resources for animal care.
