Duanesburg Man Arrested for Colonie Gas Station Robbery

A 23-year-old man from Duanesburg, Luke White, has been arrested following an armed robbery at a Sunoco gas station in Colonie. The incident occurred on Saturday (January 25) at around 4:45 p.m. when White allegedly entered the gas station on Broadway wearing a mask and brandishing a gun, demanding cash from the clerk. The clerk complied, handing over approximately $800, and White fled the scene. Fortunately, the clerk was not harmed during the robbery.

Colonie Police identified White as a suspect through witness accounts and video surveillance footage. He was apprehended without incident at his home on Monday (January 27) around 7:45 p.m. During a search of White's residence, police discovered an imitation handgun and clothing believed to have been worn during the robbery.

White was arraigned in Colonie Town Court and is currently held at the Albany County Correctional Facility, awaiting a preliminary hearing. The investigation is ongoing, and police are urging anyone with additional information to contact Colonie Police investigators at (518) 783-2754.
