Congressman Paul Tonko will meet with constituents at a Town Hall event tonight (February 19) at Albany High School in Albany, New York. The event, starting at 6 p.m., will allow Tonko to discuss his work in Congress and address questions from attendees. While all seats are currently sold out, the event will be streamed live on Congressman Tonko's Facebook page.
Doors to the venue open at 5:15 p.m., and attendees are encouraged to arrive early due to high attendance and public safety measures. According to Eventbrite, pre-registration was required, and seating in the main auditorium is on a first-come, first-served basis. An overflow space with a live stream will be available for those unable to secure a seat inside.
Public transportation options include CDTA bus routes 12, 910, and 1. Attendees will go through a metal detector system, and prohibited items such as weapons and large bags are not allowed. Congressman Tonko emphasized the importance of hearing constituents' concerns, especially in light of recent events in Washington.
