Dennis Drue, a man on parole for a fatal crash in 2012, was arrested last week in Colonie for criminal impersonation. Drue was apprehended by Colonie Police at The Crossings Park on Albany Shaker Road after he gave a false name to an officer during questioning. The incident occurred when Drue was found in the park after hours.

Drue's history includes a tragic accident on the Northway in 2012, where he was driving recklessly and under the influence of drugs and alcohol. The crash resulted in the deaths of two Shenendehowa High School students, Christopher Stewart and Deanna Rivers, and injured two others. Drue served nine years in prison for his role in the crash and was released on parole in 2023.

Drue is scheduled to appear in court for this recent arrest on April 2. According to News10, the arrest has drawn attention due to Drue's past and the severity of his previous offenses.
