Residents of Schenectady have an opportunity to receive free pet food for their furry companions on Tuesday (May 6). The Schenectady Police Department and Mohawk Hudson Humane Society are collaborating to host a pop-up pet food pantry event. This event will take place from noon to 2 p.m. at the Central Park dog park on Iroquois Way.

The initiative aims to support local pet owners who may be struggling to provide for their pets. The event is free of charge and open to all residents. The Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, known for its commitment to animal welfare, is actively involved in organizing this event. They encourage community members to participate and benefit from the resources available.

Future dates and locations for similar events will be announced in the coming weeks, providing ongoing support to the community. For more information, residents can contact the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society at customercare@mohawkhumane.org or call 518-434-8128.
