Six Flags Great Escape in Queensbury has announced a new smoking policy for the 2025 season. Starting Saturday, May 17, smoking of any kind, including e-cigarettes and vapes, will be prohibited inside the park. However, a designated smoking area will be available between the front entrance and metal detectors.

The policy aims to create a healthier, safer, and more welcoming environment for all guests. According to the park's Facebook page, the change is part of a broader commitment to enhance guest experiences. Despite the new rules, some visitors have expressed mixed reactions. While some support the move, others feel that designated smoking spots within the park should remain.

In addition to prohibiting smoking, Six Flags also bans marijuana use, even in designated smoking areas. The park, located at 1172 US-9, offers a variety of attractions, including the world-famous Comet roller coaster and Hurricane Harbor water park. It will operate on a limited schedule until June 19, when it opens daily.

For more information on park policies and to plan your visit, guests are encouraged to check the official Six Flags website.
