Albany police are investigating two separate incidents of gunfire that occurred early Sunday morning (May 11). The first incident took place around 3:50 a.m. on Jennings Drive, where a 42-year-old woman suffered a shrapnel wound to her arm after shots were fired into her home. According to CBS6 Albany, the victim was inside her residence when the gunfire erupted.
Shortly after, officers responded to another report of shots fired in the area of Grand Street and Madison Avenue. As reported by NEWS10 ABC, police found evidence of gunfire at the scene, but no injuries were reported in connection with this incident.
Both investigations are ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Albany Police Detective Division at (518) 462-8039. CBS6 Albany also emphasized the active nature of the investigation and the importance of community assistance in solving these cases.
