An Albany man, Vion Fallen, is in custody following his arrest for a burglary that took place at a Market 32 store on Central Avenue in January. The 23-year-old was apprehended on Tuesday (May 20) after being spotted by police near First Street and Quail Street. Fallen attempted to flee on foot but was quickly captured by officers.
During his arrest, police discovered a loaded revolver in Fallen's possession. As a result, he faces multiple charges, including one count of third-degree burglary and one count of petit larceny related to the January incident. Additionally, he is charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and resisting arrest due to the firearm found at the time of his capture.
Fallen was arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court and is currently held at the Albany County Jail. According to CBS6 Albany, the burglary occurred on January 30 after Fallen had been banned from the store. The police were initially called to the scene on February 6, 2025, to investigate the theft.
News10 ABC reports that Fallen was identified as the suspect on May 20, leading to his eventual arrest. He was arraigned the following morning and remains in jail awaiting further legal proceedings.
