Albany residents can now enjoy a cool escape as spray pads across the city have officially opened. These popular spots, including Krank Park, Black Lives Matter Park, Ridgefield Park, Rosemont Park, Upper Lincoln Park, and Westland Hills Park, are now operational. The spray pads are open seven days a week from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and are free for everyone to use.

According to the Times Union, nine spray pads are available this summer. However, the spray pads at Swinburne and Hackett parks are currently undergoing renovations and will open later this summer.

The Albany Department of Recreation will announce the opening dates for the city's pools in the coming weeks, providing more options for residents to beat the heat. For updates on the pools and spray pads, residents can visit the city Department of Recreation website.
