The Animal Protective Foundation (APF) is set to host its annual Woofstock Music Festival this Sunday (June 1) at the Lions Pavilion near Collins Park in Scotia, New York. This event is one of the largest outdoor fundraising festivals in the Capital Region, dedicated to supporting both dogs and their owners.
The day will kick off at 9:30 a.m. with a 5K Run/Walk-a-Thon, offering participants free admission to the festival. Live entertainment will feature music from DJ Scott Pallone and the band Grand Central Station, starting at noon. Over 40 vendors will be present, providing a variety of pet-friendly shopping options, food, and beverages, including offerings from Paradox Brewing and Nine Pin Cider.
All proceeds from the festival will support the APF's mission to provide medical care, housing, food, and lifesaving support for companion animals in need. The APF is a private nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization serving Schenectady County and the greater Capital Region, promoting the human-animal bond through community resources and humane care.
Tickets for the event are available online, with early bird pricing set at $20 using the code STAR50, and free entry for children 12 and under. Well-behaved pets are welcome to join in the festivities. More details can be found on the APF website.
