Police in Troy are continuing their search for clues in the mysterious death of Amanda King, whose remains were discovered at Burden Pond Preserve in October 2024. Despite extensive efforts, no new developments have been reported in the case, according to Troy's Deputy Police Chief Steven Barker.

King, a resident of Bethlehem, New York, was last seen alive in 2013. She was 27 years old at the time and had been staying at the Conifer Park Rehabilitation Center in Glenville. Her disappearance sparked concern among her family, who reported her missing after she left the center with an unknown individual on October 16, 2013.

The Times Union reports that King's remains were identified through DNA extracted from her femur and teeth. The cause of death remains undetermined.

CBS6 Albany notes that sightings of King were reported in Albany throughout November 2013, but she was not seen again after Thanksgiving of that year.

Police are urging anyone with information about King's disappearance to come forward. The investigation remains active, with detectives revisiting the Burden Pond Preserve to search for additional evidence.
