Today, multiple agencies are conducting a hazmat training exercise in Albany. The exercise will take place at several key locations, including the Port of Albany, the Palace Theater, and the USS Slater. The training is scheduled to run from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
During the exercise, emergency vehicles and personnel will be present at these sites. The training aims to enhance preparedness and coordination among various agencies in handling hazardous materials incidents. Despite the presence of emergency vehicles, no traffic interruptions or delays are expected in the area.
This exercise is part of ongoing efforts to ensure that agencies are well-prepared to respond effectively to emergencies involving hazardous materials. Residents and visitors in the vicinity are advised not to be alarmed by the increased presence of emergency personnel.
