Congressman Tonko Schedules Town Hall in Troy

Congressman Paul Tonko, representing New York's 20th District, has announced his next town hall meeting will be held on Monday, June 16, at the McDonough Sports Complex at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy. The event will start at 6 p.m., with doors opening at 4:30 p.m.

During the town hall, Tonko will address ongoing challenges facing the federal government, including budget issues. According to Eventbrite, the event will feature a welcome speech by Tonko, a moderated discussion, and a live audience Q&A session. Tonko emphasized the importance of hearing directly from constituents about how federal actions impact them.

Pre-registration is required to attend, and attendees are encouraged to arrive early due to expected high attendance. Seating is first-come, first-served, but the event will also be streamed live on Tonko's YouTube page for those unable to secure a seat. Public transportation options are available via CDTA bus routes 85 or 224. Attendees should be aware of security measures, including metal detectors, and prohibited items such as large bags and weapons.
