Albany police are actively searching for a suspect involved in a recent homicide that occurred early Monday (June 16) morning. Officers responded to reports of a shooting on the 100 block of Third Avenue near Sloan Street at approximately 12:50 a.m. Upon arrival, they learned that a 32-year-old man had been independently transported to Albany Medical Center Hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest. Tragically, the victim was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital.
According to News10, the victim was reportedly shot while standing outside in front of a residence. The police have not yet released the victim's name, as they are waiting to notify the family. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
