The Animal Protective Foundation is hosting a free pet wellness clinic for cats on Monday (June 23) at Steinmetz Park on Lenox Road in Schenectady. The event will run from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., offering a range of services including vaccinations and veterinary exams at no cost.
The clinic is part of the foundation's quarterly initiative to provide free and low-cost wellness and preventative services to pet owners in the Capital Region. According to the Animal Protective Foundation, services are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and pre-registration is encouraged to secure a spot.
Pet owners can register in advance by visiting the foundation's website at animalprotective.org. The clinic will focus on preventative care, and any existing conditions identified during the brief exam will be recommended for follow-up with a full-service veterinarian.
The foundation has been a pillar of support for pets since 1931, providing shelter, medical care, and adoption services. Their community outreach programs, like the pet wellness clinics, aim to improve the lives of pets and their owners by ensuring access to essential care.
