15-Year-Old Killed in Albany Shooting; Investigation Ongoing

A 15-year-old boy was shot and killed late Monday night (June 23) on Clinton Avenue in Albany. Police responded to reports of a shooting around 11 p.m. and found the teen with a gunshot wound to the back. He was taken to Albany Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. Due to his age, the victim's name has not been released.

According to Spectrum News, police believe the victim knew the shooter, but no arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information to contact them at (518) 462-8039.

This incident marks the second fatal shooting in Albany in just over a week. On June 16, 32-year-old Prince Cureton was shot near Third Avenue and Sloan Street and later died at Albany Medical Center, as reported by the Times Union.
