Schenectady residents can now enjoy a refreshing swim as the Central Park pool has officially opened. With temperatures nearing 90 degrees today, the pool offers a cool escape. According to the City of Schenectady, lap swimming is available on weekdays from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m., while open swim sessions run from 12:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Residents have priority access to the pool, and everyone aged 10 and older must show proof of residency. Non-residents can swim for free, but they must be accompanied by a city resident who meets the identification requirements. The pool is also open on weekends, with open swim from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
