Motorcyclist Dies in Glenmont Crash on Route 9W

A motorcyclist died on Monday (July 14) in Glenmont after a car crossed the center line on Route 9W and collided with the motorcycle. The crash occurred around 5 p.m. near Corning Hill Road. The motorcyclist was transported to Albany Medical Center, where they were pronounced dead, according to Times Union.

The driver of the car was not injured in the accident. The identity of the motorcyclist has not been released by the police. Following the incident, Route 9W was closed in both directions between Corning Hill Road and Plank Road as authorities conducted an investigation. The Bethlehem police and the Albany County Crash Investigation Team are handling the ongoing investigation, as reported by CBS6 Albany.
