A small plane crash occurred in Knox on Tuesday (July 15), but fortunately, no injuries were reported. The plane went down near Knox Cave Road, and the pilot, who was the only person on board, emerged unscathed. According to the Albany County Sheriff's Office, the pilot left the crash site overnight and returned the next morning to address the situation.

The crash site was not near an airport, and the cause of the incident is still under investigation by the New York State Police. Sheriff Craig Apple noted that the plane was broken into two pieces and had flipped upside down, with the propeller striking the ground upon landing on a private grass strip, as reported by NEWS10.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is involved in the ongoing investigation to determine what led to the crash. The incident has not disrupted any major flight paths or caused significant environmental damage. Updates on the investigation are expected as authorities continue to gather information.
