The third week of the 2025 racing season begins today at Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs. This week promises exciting events and races, including First Responders Day on Thursday (July 24), which offers free admission to police officers, firefighters, EMTs, and paramedics as a tribute to their service.

Saturday (July 26) will feature the Jim Dandy Stakes, a significant prep race for the Travers Stakes, showcasing five of the top horses in the country. The Jim Dandy is not only a crucial race but also a festive occasion with autograph signings and photo opportunities at the Jockey Silks Porch as part of the Permanently Disabled Jockeys’ Fund (PDJF) Awareness Day.

Throughout the week, visitors can enjoy various giveaways, such as a Saratoga blanket on Friday (July 25), presented by Rivers Casino. The blanket is perfect for a picnic at the track and is available with paid admission while supplies last.

Tickets for all events are still available and can be purchased at nyra.com/saratoga. The Saratoga summer meet, which started on July 10, will continue until Labor Day weekend, offering 40 days of live racing.
