Road closures continue in Albany today as a film production company shoots scenes for a World War II-era movie titled "Triumph." The production, which began in Troy last week, has moved to Albany, with Broadway between Pine Street and State Street closed from 6 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Thursday (July 24). Parking restrictions are also in place on both sides of Broadway during these hours.
According to News 10, "Triumph" is a historical drama and love story set in 1939, based on the true account of a Rabbi and his wife in Nazi-occupied Berlin. The production involves actors in period-authentic Nazi costumes and displays Nazi imagery, prompting the production team to assure residents that the content is being filmed with care to convey emotional and historical truth.
The Albany Police Department has worked closely with the filmmakers to minimize disruptions and clearly communicate the nature of the scenes to the public. Pedestrians are advised to maintain a distance from the filming area until the crew finishes their work. The movie's production team is committed to ensuring that all necessary precautions are taken during the filming process.
