The Autumn Glow Festival is set to return to Rotterdam, bringing a spectacular display of handmade Chinese lanterns from September 4 through November 2. The festival will run Thursdays through Sundays, from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., with the last entry at 9 p.m. Tickets, priced at $14.99, are available for purchase online.
Attendees will experience the magic of one thousand hand-painted silk Chinese lanterns illuminated by LED lights. Each lantern tells a story inspired by Chinese legends and myths, creating a dazzling night walk through art, tradition, and technology. In addition to the lantern displays, the festival includes a high-energy performance by the Zigong Acrobatic Troupe, featuring gravity-defying stunts and the mesmerizing art of face-changing.
Mary Zawacki, Executive Director of the Schenectady County Historical Society, expressed excitement about the festival's return to Mabee Farm, stating, "This year’s festival will be nothing short of a mesmerizing experience of lights, color, and culture as we bring Chinese cultural tradition to upstate New York."
