According to AAA, this price is unchanged from last week and is seven cents lower than last month. The state average currently stands at $3.17, while the national average is slightly lower at $3.14.
The stability in gas prices comes amidst various economic challenges, including tariffs and global conflicts. However, as reported by USA Today, the average cost of gas has decreased from around $3.50 in August 2024 to $3.166 as of early August 2025. This reduction provides some financial relief for those adding school pickups and drop-offs to their daily routines.
