Schenectady Police Investigate Shooting Incident

Schenectady police are actively investigating a shooting that occurred on Monday night (August 11) near Watt Street and Tremont Avenue. Officers responded to the scene around 8:30 p.m. after receiving reports of a woman being shot. Upon arrival, they found a woman in her 30s with a gunshot wound to her leg. She was transported to a nearby hospital, where she is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing, and no suspects have been taken into custody. Authorities are urging anyone with information related to the incident to contact the police department through their tip line at (518) 788-6566. According to NEWS10 ABC, detectives are diligently working to gather more details about the shooting.

The Daily Gazette reports that the police are asking for the public's assistance in solving this case. As of now, the motive behind the shooting remains unclear, and the investigation continues.
