Another thrilling week begins today at the Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, New York. Highlights include free ice cream from Stewart's Shops between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. today, available across from the paddock on a first-come, first-served basis. Tomorrow, the course will honor military personnel with Military Appreciation Day, offering free admission to veterans and service members with proper identification. The day will feature performances by the New York-based 42nd Infantry Division Brass Quintet and an aerial demonstration by the West Point Parachute Team, as reported by NYRA.

On Saturday, the spotlight will be on the Alabama Stakes, one of the meet's most prestigious races, featuring six of the nation's top fillies. The Grade 1, $600,000 Alabama presented by Keeneland Sales will be run over a classic distance of 1 1/4 miles. Fans can also enjoy live music daily on the Purdy’s Summer Music Stage, providing a festive atmosphere throughout the week.

For those interested in a behind-the-scenes experience, free guided backstretch tram tours are available every morning, offering a glimpse into the daily routines of horses, trainers, and jockeys. For a complete schedule of events and to purchase tickets, visit NYRA's website.
