The New York State Food Festival is set to take place today at the Empire State Plaza in Albany, offering a day full of culinary delights and live music. The festival, which runs from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., will feature dozens of food trucks and vendors serving a wide variety of dishes. Attendees can enjoy flavors from all over the world, with options ranging from Caribbean to Lebanese cuisine.

Due to weather concerns, the evening concert by Blue Öyster Cult has been moved inside to the Empire State Plaza Convention Center. The band, known for hits like "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" and "Burnin' for You," will headline the event. Opening acts include Aquanett and Super 400, with a lunchtime performance by Hallelujah Hat Trick as part of the Lunchtime at the Plaza Music Series, presented by M&T Bank.

The festival is presented by the New York State Office of General Services and Coca-Cola Beverages Northeast. Commissioner Jeanette Moy emphasized the event's role in bringing the community together, stating, "New York State’s annual Food Festival brings people from across the Capital Region to the Empire State Plaza to enjoy great food, live music, and the spirit of community."

For more information and updates, attendees can visit the Empire State Plaza's website or follow their social media channels. The event is free and open to the public, providing a perfect opportunity for families, friends, and food enthusiasts to gather and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere.
