A paving project in Clifton Park is set to cause partial road closures on Sugar Hill Road from Grooms Road to Riverview Road. The construction will begin today (August 15) and continue through Friday (August 22). According to the Town of Clifton Park, milling operations are scheduled for today and Monday (August 18), with paving to follow throughout the week.

During the project, the road may be closed to through-traffic at times, and detours will be clearly marked to assist drivers. Flaggers will be on-site to manage traffic and assist residents. The Clifton Park Town Highway Superintendent, Dahn Bull, advises drivers, especially motorcyclists, to exercise caution due to potential uneven road surfaces.

The construction schedule is weather-dependent, and once the asphalt has cured, highway crews may return to reseed road shoulders. Residents with questions can contact the Highway Superintendent’s office at (518) 371-7310. The Highway Department appreciates the community's patience as these improvements are made to the town's infrastructure.
