The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) is launching a new bus route today (August 25) that will connect Saratoga Springs and Glens Falls. Route 713 is set to enhance regional mobility by providing direct transit connections between the two counties. The service will run on weekdays, traveling along Route 9 and I-87, and aims to expand access to jobs and healthcare.
The launch event is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. at the Saratoga Springs Rail Station. This new route marks the first direct transit link between Saratoga and Warren counties, following CDTA's integration of the Warren County community into its service area on January 1, 2024, after merging with Greater Glens Falls Transit (GGFT).
CDTA has already improved seasonal trolley services and introduced the Navigator fare program to increase mobility options across Warren County. The new route is expected to further boost access and connectivity in the region.
