Memorial services are being held today in Clifton Park for Kevin Robert, a dedicated paramedic who died on August 27 while on duty. Robert, 55, was on a LifeNet helicopter treating a patient when he suffered a sudden medical emergency. The helicopter made an emergency landing at Saratoga Hospital, but Robert did not survive.

Kevin Robert served as an emergency medical technician (EMT) for over 30 years and was a respected educator at Hudson Valley Community College, where he trained future first responders. His colleagues remember him as a mentor and a skilled clinician. Saratoga County EMS Coordinator Mike McEvoy described him as "a paramedic’s paramedic" and praised his contributions to the community, including establishing an ambulance service in Mechanicville, New York.

Calling hours are scheduled from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Saint Edward the Confessor Church in Clifton Park, with a funeral service to follow tomorrow at 10 a.m. Robert leaves behind two daughters and a legacy of service and education in the EMS community.

The LifeNet team and Robert's colleagues are mourning the loss of a beloved team member. Lindsey L. Emmons from Air Methods expressed deep sadness and highlighted Robert's dedication to his profession and the countless lives he touched.
