Dylan Hewitt, a seventh-generation Upstate New Yorker, has officially launched his campaign for Congress in New York's 21st District. During his announcement on Wednesday (September 3), Hewitt emphasized his commitment to lowering the cost of living for working families. His platform includes raising wages, stopping reckless tariffs, supporting farms and small businesses, and ensuring that billionaires "pay their fair share."

Hewitt, a member of the Democratic Party, previously served as the Deputy U.S. Trade Representative at the White House. His deep ties to the South Glens Falls community, where he grew up, are a cornerstone of his campaign. As reported by NY State of Politics, Hewitt has also served as chair of the South High Marathon Dance.

Hewitt's campaign for the 2026 election seeks to address pressing economic issues facing the district. According to Ballotpedia, he is running for the Democratic nomination in the upcoming general election scheduled for November 3, 2026.
