Police Investigate Suspicious Man Near Schenectady School

Schenectady police are investigating a report of a suspicious man who approached a child near Washington Irving School. The incident occurred on Wednesday (September 10) near Albany Street and Hulett Street. The child was unharmed and reported the encounter to school staff the following day.

According to NEWS10 ABC, this is the second report of such an incident in the area within a week. A previous report on September 8 at Craig Street and Delamont Avenue was found to be unfounded.

The Schenectady Police Department is actively investigating the recent report. Detectives from the Office of Youth Aid and Community Engagement Officers are following up on the case.
