Albany officials have announced a water main repair project that is expected to cause traffic delays on Saturday (September 20) in the area of Henry Johnson Boulevard and Livingston Avenue. According to NEWS10 ABC, the Albany Water Department will begin repairs at 5 a.m., working on a 24-hour schedule to minimize disruptions. However, drivers should still expect lane restrictions and significant delays during peak traffic times.
Flaggers will be present to direct alternating single-lane traffic if repairs extend south. Motorists are advised to consider alternate routes to avoid congestion. The project is part of ongoing efforts to maintain and improve the city's water infrastructure.
Following the initial repairs, crews will return the next weekend for full permanent paving. Residents and commuters are encouraged to stay informed about the progress of the repairs and plan their travel accordingly.
