Charges against Morgan Lange, a Glenville woman, are expected to be upgraded following the death of Josh Soden, who was pinned under Lange's car in an alleged drunk driving incident on September 8. Initially charged with felony vehicular assault, Lange may now face more serious charges such as vehicular manslaughter or homicide.

According to CBS6 Albany, the case will be presented to a grand jury. Lange was arrested after leaving Bentley’s Tavern in Malta with a blood-alcohol level of 0.12. She allegedly removed an open can of White Claw hard seltzer from her car and asked someone to dispose of it.

Josh Soden, a 29-year-old from Ballston Spa, was declared dead on Saturday (September 20) at Albany Medical Center Hospital. His family held an "Honor Walk" to commemorate his organ donation. Soden's family is also planning to file a civil lawsuit against Bentley’s Tavern, potentially for wrongful death, questioning the tavern's role in serving alcohol to Lange.

The Saratoga County District Attorney's Office is working with State Police on the investigation. The Times Union reports that additional charges are anticipated as the investigation progresses.
