The Dunn Memorial Bridge in Albany will be closed on Thursday (September 25) for a routine inspection. The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) announced that the ramp from Exit 3 on Interstate 787 northbound to U.S. Route 9/20 will be shut down from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The closure is necessary to ensure the bridge's safety and integrity. Drivers are advised to follow the detour signs via the South Mall Expressway and to allow extra travel time due to expected delays. The inspection activities are weather-dependent and could be rescheduled if conditions change.
According to CBS6 Albany, the NYSDOT recommends that drivers plan their routes in advance to avoid congestion. NEWS10 ABC also encourages travelers to check real-time traffic updates to better navigate the area during the closure.
