Authorities are intensifying their search for Anthony Bechand, the suspect in the murder of Amanda Rodriguez in Cohoes. Rodriguez, 41, was found stabbed to death at her home on Earl Lynn Court on September 14. Bechand, 53, is accused of the crime and remains at large.

Bechand's vehicle, a white 2024 Chevrolet Silverado, was discovered abandoned in Brighton, Franklin County, near the Canadian border. The truck was reportedly out of gas, and Bechand's whereabouts are unknown. The New York State Police, along with the U.S. Marshals Task Force and other agencies, are conducting extensive searches in the surrounding wooded areas. The U.S. Marshals are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to Bechand's capture. A press conference is scheduled for Thursday (September 25) at the State Police Barracks in Ray Brook to provide updates on the search.
