For the second consecutive day, a travel advisory is in effect for Interstate 787 in Albany. The New York State Department of Transportation has announced that the ramp from the Dunn Memorial Bridge westbound to Interstate 787 northbound will be closed today (September 26) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This closure is necessary for a routine bridge inspection.
Motorists should expect delays and are advised to follow the signed detour via the South Mall Expressway. The Department of Transportation encourages drivers to allow extra travel time to accommodate these delays. According to the Department of Transportation, construction activities are weather-dependent and subject to change based on conditions.
Drivers passing through the area are encouraged to plan their routes accordingly and stay informed about real-time traffic updates.
