Schenectady police are investigating after a man's body was found in the Mohawk River near Rivers Casino on Sunday (September 28). Officers responded to a 911 call at approximately 1:40 p.m., reporting a possible body floating in the river. The body was recovered with assistance from the State Police, Scotia Fire Department, and Schenectady County Sheriff's Office's Marine Patrol.
The identity of the deceased man has not been released, and it remains unclear how long the body was in the water. Schenectady police are urging anyone with information related to the incident to contact their Detective Division at 518-382-5200, extension 5245, or use the department’s tip line at 518-788-6566.
