Trader Joe's is opening its doors to shoppers today (October 28) in Glenmont. Located in Glenmont Plaza at 388 Feura Bush Road, the store is the third Trader Joe's in the Capital Region, joining locations in Colonie and Halfmoon. The grand opening will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the store manager, crew, and local officials.
The new store has created 49 jobs and will operate daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Through the Trader Joe's Neighborhood Shares Program, the Glenmont location will donate all unsold but sellable products to local nonprofit organizations.
The Bethlehem Planning Board approved the site plans in May, which included converting over 14,000 square feet of existing retail space into the Trader Joe's and adding a drive-up bank ATM. The store is situated next to HomeGoods, with Five Below moving in between HomeGoods and Marshalls.
According to News10, the store's opening follows the completion of extensive renovations and reconfigurations of the traffic plans at Route 9W and Feura Bush Road. The Glenmont Trader Joe's will offer a variety of products, including unique items like Mandarin Orange Chicken and everyday essentials like milk and eggs.
