A 29-year-old man named Xavier Baker has been arrested in connection with two armed robberies in Troy. According to authorities, Baker first targeted the LB Empire and Deli in Lansingburgh on September 28, where he allegedly brandished what appeared to be a gun and demanded money from the clerk. The second incident occurred on October 14 at LeBeau's Grocery in South Troy, where Baker reportedly pointed a weapon at an employee and demanded cash and cigarettes.

Detectives quickly linked the two crimes to Baker and conducted a search of his home. They found evidence, including an imitation gun, that connected him to the robberies. During questioning, Baker confessed to both crimes. He has been charged with two counts of second-degree robbery and two counts of fourth-degree grand larceny. Baker was arraigned in Troy City Court and is currently being held in the Rensselaer County Jail without bail, as reported by CBS6 Albany.

The Troy Police Department is asking anyone with additional information about these incidents to contact their detectives at (518) 270-4777 or submit a tip on the Troy Police website, as mentioned by NEWS10 ABC.
