An investigation is ongoing into a propane truck crash that occurred on Tuesday (November 4) in New Scotland. The incident took place on Tarrytown Road when a Suburban Propane delivery truck, driven by a man from Amsterdam, veered into the opposite lane, hit a tree, and rolled over, finally coming to a stop in the front yard of a residence.
According to the Albany County Sheriff's Office, the driver sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene. Fortunately, no propane leaked from the truck, and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation confirmed the absence of any leaks. The vehicle has since been towed away by Robert’s Towing.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation, as authorities work to determine what led to the truck crossing lanes and rolling over. News10 and CBS6 Albany both report that no hazardous materials were released during the incident, ensuring the safety of the local community.
